The original approach of La Fonderie is to highlight the work and everyday life of the inhabitants of Brussels. Our studies and programmes recall the economic, social and industrial life of Brussels. The present and the future of the region and its inhabitants are contemplated from a historical analysis.
It is located on the site of the former "Compagnie des Bronzes" and puts its knowledge at disposal of the public through exhibitions in the Brussels Museum for labour and industry, through its documentation centre, its programme of twenty visits across the city and the harbours and through its publications: Les Cahiers de la Fonderie.
